Better Self, Better Tomorrow
The Night Time Self-Checkin Routine
What goes through your mind before you drift off to sleep? On better days, I like to think of the positive experiences I had throughout my day. But some days hold memories I’d rather avoid. Dwelling on these isn’t the best way to unwind before bed.
But these days can teach us a lot.
I find it helpful to do a quick check in on myself.
Here are some self- check in questions that might be useful to ask before your sleep:
- Did I trust that today will be a better day?
- Did I fail to express my feelings?
- Is there anything today that I should forgive myself before I go to sleep?
- Were there any moments where I felt I wasn’t being true to myself?
- Did I feel any regrets?
- Did I give my best today?
- What did I do better today than yesterday?
- What was I passionate about?
- Did I complain, bicker?
- How did I show my openness towards others?
- Did I show love and gratitude to anyone today or the opposite?
- What can I be proud of today?

So, what did today teach you?
